It is actually supposed to be above freezing tomorrow, great paddling conditions. I, however, will be at the hospital having a proceedure and spending the rest of the weekend lying around. Bummer. Hopefully, I will make it to coffee Sunday morning.
Enjoy your weekend and...
Paddle safe...

Having had the "proceedure" a couple of times, you won't be leaving the house on Sunday! Trust me, it will take you awhile to get out of bed and downstairs. Sunday will be a day for soft clothes all day, no sudden movements. "Milk" it a bit and have others wait on you--it's your one chance! Go for it--get all you can !!! By the way, you won't be paddling until January sometime, could be February before you dip your paddle again.
ReplyDeleteI was kind of hoping that Sunday morning an ambulance with two strong guys would appear on my drive way. I would be carried out and driven to the coffee shop, etc, etc.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that could be arranged--would your insurance cover such medical necessity? If so, I'm sure I could arrange it, even though I'm off at 2400 hrs Saturday night, I'd be willing to go back in to work for such medical necessities--will you pay for the coffee too?
ReplyDeleteGet your 'script pad out . . .
gee I've not had a "proceedure" yet, I hope I'm not missing anything fun!
ReplyDeleteWhen he's not able to kayak for 4 to 6 weeks, he's going to be hard to live with--poor Lady Linda!
ReplyDeleteWell at least it's not a proceeedure. I've heard those are especially uncomfortable.
ReplyDeleteI have come to the wrong place for sympathy :o(
ReplyDeleteDo I dare ask... what is a "Proceedure"? $ to 6 weeks, loose fitting clothing, no coffee no paddling... NO sympathy!
ReplyDeleteYikes !!! Hang in there Doc!!
A procedure is anything done to the body. Heart surgery would be a biggy. Taking out a sliver would be a minor procedure. I am having an inguinal hernia repair in a few hours. Bet people won't even recognize me afterwards.
ReplyDeletehope your proceedure proceeds perfectly and your recovery is speedy.
ReplyDeleteThanks. The kayak group brought goodies over, I brewed some beans and we had a great visit. Not too much pain, but it will be a few days before I am comfortable. I am happy all went well.
