The British Are Coming
(never mind, they're here)
(never mind, they're here)
She arrived Tuesday. I was on the phone with the driver and was in Madison when she arrived. First off, I checked her papers to be sure she had entered the country legally.
She was shy at first...
An important visitor like this got the top grade attention of the owner of Rutabaga.
Guys being guys, we checked her bottom out, the keel strip that is.
Then a short walk to the pond behind 'Baga....
Where she posed for pictures.
Pictures afloat to follow.
Paddle safe...

what a great boat!
ReplyDeleteDo you have enough room between your legs with the 4th hatch?
I don't fit the Cetus but I don't fit a lot of medium height decks.
I think you should name her: carrot :-)
Plenty of room . The 4th hatch is actually more near my ankles than knees. Doesn't seem to need a bit of padding either.
ReplyDeleteThey are just beautiful boats. I'm over the moon with mine.
ReplyDeleteLooking good, Dick! Does this mean I'll see you down south this winter?
ReplyDeleteYou picked up a Cetus? I've never tried one but it looks like a sweet kayak. Wow, new car, new kayak, what's next?
ReplyDeleteVery nice!!
ReplyDeleteNow you just need to figure out what to put in that 'knee hatch'. Our friend the 'Bessemer Convivialist', bought this boat over the summer as well and is very pleased.
ReplyDeleteMore tomorrow....I just got off the lake!!!!
ReplyDeleteSweet lookin, Is she a Cetus or the new Cetus 178?
ReplyDeleteThanks. Just a Cetus, I guess. I ordered her about 6 months ago.
ReplyDeleteIt's a British invasion!
ReplyDeleteWhere is today's blog about Joe-Joe coming to visit?
looks like a great boat, happy paddling
