Go Stick It...

We're lucky (so far) here in Wisconsin inasmuch as we don't have to register kayaks and/or put stickers on our bows. It is one thing to do this with a large craft, but our elegant little hulls look better unadorned.

You can still voluntarily register your kayak in WI for, I think, $11. My guess is that there's no benefit to paddlers and the $$ go straight into the general fund. Around here they had a milfoil surcharge on top of the registration that they stuck sea kayakers with because our boats were over 16'. I've had huge issues with milfoil in my prop, live well, and hanging on my trailer.

True, but if you come to Minnesota, you need to register your kayak to use it one MN waters.
