Not Looking Good...just now
I checked out the beach to see if I could find a launch site. Someone had posted that there was no ice there. That turned out to be an illusion.
What appeared to be beach included 15-20 feet of ice. More over, it ended in over hangs that made launching and, even more, recovery unsafe. The wind was on shore, and there were chunks of ice battering the over hangs (and any one who might have been standing there.
The search/wait goes on

Rx: road trip sunday, 12/26, in search of open water and launchable shore! Sunday: A 20 percent chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 27. North wind around 15 mph.
Looks like stay inside weather with a hot drink and a good book or friend. happy holidays
Actually, I am getting out into the parks and doing some photography. JB and I will find a new passage to the lake and become famous :)
