Whatever any of us thought about the Vietnam War then or now, the politicians and the policies that put us there, it was unforgivable how we treated the returning soldiers who only sought to serve their country by doing what was asked of them. Thank you for your service. And especially to all those young men and women who were never able to return home, we owe you a debt that we cannot pay.
