DCSKS
You don't want to miss this

It's so close I can taste it: Symposium Season; and it starts with the Door County Sea Kayak Symposium put on by those fine folks at Rutabaga in Madison. This Friday through Sunday annual event is always the weekend after the 4th of July and is a superb venue for all levels of paddlers.

Where else can you arrive having never paddled and go home a beginner with some basic skills and strokes? Where else can you enjoy such good instruction and food and scenery and learn at the same time? Click on the link and look it over...then sign up.

I will be mentioning other symposiums in the area, on different dates; but this is the closest and involves most of the paddlers in this area. New friends are more than welcome.

Paddle safe...

Will you and your partner in crime be up in Washburn next month? I need to attend Door Co one of these years, especially with a nice place to stay in Ephraim. Congrats on the new craft as well, very nice color scheme. You should probably take a paddle and scratch the damn thing to get it over with.

Woohoo! I'm all signed up and can't wait! It will be my first symposium. Just started taking lessons last summer. Hoping to meet many people and learn alot too. I just purchased a kayak last summer and was wondering what areas you apply the 3-M film. Can you take pics and post? I'm sure much may be personal preference but because I don't have that much experience I just am not sure.

First: Be sure to say hello to me at the symposium.
I put the film on the deck because it is black and will really show scratches. I took some pics of the procedure, but haven't had a chance to post yet.
