A short time ago he wrote a blog entitled something like Summer Is Over. Can you imagine? The chutzpa! To tempt the mysterious powers of the Universe when all is warm and going well is not the stuff with which mere mortals should screw around. Now look what he has done.
Lake Michigan's temps are plummeting like the real estate market, and we are waking with frost on our pumpkins (or what ever else you have in your bedroom...but I digress). Trees have begun whispering to one another about changing their clothes for the season, and heavy neoprene accessories have mysteriously moved forward on my kayak clothes rack. I tell you, all hell is breaking lose, and we're going to freeze.
And even Ron has disappeared. He went off to something called ICE (scary, right?) and hasn't been heard of since. See what I mean? One evil thing after another because of one thoughtless blog title.
Blog carefully...
Thanks a lot, Alex.
Paddle safe...

you know they drown people at those ICE things, right?
Although I didn't drown this weekend, came close!... the weather did mysteriously change for the colder!! ICE was a busy weekend, I did manage to come out with a basic ACA certification.
I must admit when yesterdays near shore forecast called for gale with gusts to 50mph and 7-9 footers, I was hoping you intrepid ICE'ers had bailed on Monday. The Bessemer Convivialist then called and said that you guys and the wine were safe in Little Sand Bay on Monday night. Glad you remembered the lake is indeed the boss.
Sorry guys for bringing the cold to the midwest. As a professional forecaster, I simply reported what I felt was an accurate reflection of the changing seasons.
Now what are the odds that Delaware will be warmer for Delmarva? :)
Glad to read of Ron's success at becoming a certified instructor. So sorry to hear about his son being hospitalized after an auto accident. Good thoughts go out to Ron and his Son.
